Synopsis: Paul Javal is a writer hired to write the screenplay for a new, more commercial film about Ulysses, to be directed by Fritz Lang and produced by Jeremy Prokosch. But since he let his wife Camille drive with Prokosch and, she believes, is late, he uses her as a kind of gift to get Prokosch a better payment. So the relationship ends.
